Day 9 On the road West… 2021 Yellowstone
No alarms set this morning. Let everyone sleep until they awoke for the first time this trip, a nice change of pace. Everyone ready to go with a sack breakfast in our tummies heading into the North Entrance of Yellowstone National Park at 9:15. The plan was to head down to Old Faithful and then … Continue reading Day 9 On the road West… 2021 Yellowstone
Day 8 on the road West… 2021
Sleep came in fits and spurts with Reuben needing lots of cuddles. Morning was a welcome sight as the sky began to lighten. Showered and refreshed we got a decent breakfast to bring back up to the room. The kids were bouncing off the walls and playing lots of games. Good until someone gets hurt. … Continue reading Day 8 on the road West… 2021
Day 7 On the road West… 2021

Day 6 Mill Iron D Ranch, final day
Today was a bit of playing tourist, a bit of exploring the ranch on four-wheelers, a large part packing and laundry and an amazing steak, corn, salad and fry dinner. New duds from Heartland in Torrington Wyoming. Fries from home-grown potatoes. Tess is finally putting up with Wickham and enjoying the kids a little. Yum.
Day 5 Split Day
So today was a different day. Up early to drive Jeff down to the Denver airport leaving the three kids and Wickham with Grandma and Grandpa. Then, pick up my mom (Nana) who will make the rest of the cross country trip with us. The round trip was about six hours with a stop for … Continue reading Day 5 Split Day
Day 4 Mill Iron D Ranch
Rocks! Waking up at the farm to a beautiful sun rise and only the sound of birds was amazing. Well, the sounds of the kids and dogs and cows mixed in quite quickly as everyone got up and going. Rock hounding, four-wheeling, cows and calfs, horses, grandma snuggles, mule deer, wild turkeys in trees, toggie … Continue reading Day 4 Mill Iron D Ranch
Day 3 on the road West… 2021
Good nights sleep, up, showered, dressed and on the road at 6:30am with sack breakfasts packed by the hotel. Woo Hoo! A long, flat, straight drive across the entirety of Nebraska today to end up just over the border in Wyoming outside of Torrington. Up with the sun. The Arch Museum (goes over I-80) was … Continue reading Day 3 on the road West… 2021
